He made this comment while addressing the chief guest at the prize distribution ceremony of the annual sports and cultural competition held on the premises of Baklia High School on Saturday (July 22).
The mayor said that culture and sports practices lead to the intellectual development of people. Students should not only study, they should become competent people.Culture is needed for this. Because, cultural practice forms a better mind, develops an ideal person. We hope that the ongoing development in Bangladesh will be accelerated under the leadership of cultured people. Bangabandhu’s dream of hunger-free and poverty-free Bangladesh will be fulfilled by the hands of students.Noman Al Mahmud, Member of Parliament of Chittagong-8 Constituency called upon the students to cherish the spirit of the liberation war and said that against militancy, fundamentalism and communal thinking, the students should lead the endless struggle of building the country in the spirit of the liberation war. Today’s students will lead in many ways in the future, so students need to be developed in an age-appropriate way.
