Tamim calls on PM at Ganabhaban

C T Online Desk: Former Bangladesh skipper Tamim Iqbal made a call on Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina at Ganabhaban on Friday.

The 34-year-old, who made a shocking retirement decision on Thursday, arrived at the Ganabhaban premises at 02:30pm and met the Bangladesh premier.

Tamim earlier said that he has already played his last international game against Afghanistan which took place at his home town Chattogram on Wednesday and his decision of quitting international cricket would come into effect immediately.

The left-hander, who served Bangladesh for 16 years, played 70 Tests, 241 ODIs and 78 T20Is in his career and scored over 15000 runs – the only Bangladesh batsman to achieve that landmark to date.

He is also the lone Bangladeshi cricketer to score a hundred in all three formats of the game.
