C T Online Desk: Bangladesh Bridge Authority has payment to the third and fourth installments of loan for Padma Bridge.
Md Manjur Hossain, secretary of Road Transport and Bridges and also director general of Bridges Authority, handed over a cheque to the Finance Ministrty in this regard on Monday.
Earlier, Tk 316 crore 90 lakhs 97 thousand 50 was paid for the first and second installments on April 5. With this, total Tk 632 crore 93 lakh 36 thousand 6142 of installment was paid.
In June 25, 2022, Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina inaugurated the 6.15 kilometer long Padma Bridge.
The 6.15 kilometer long bridge has connected 21 districts of south and southwestern regions with Dhaka. The bridge will assist to increase GDP 1.23 percent along with reduction of poverty through developing socio-economic development.
