BNP leaders  vandalise  the ‘Bangabandhu’s wall portrait’ in Ctg

C T Online Desk: BNP activists have broken the wall picture  of Bangabandhu made of glass on the occasion of observing  50th   independence day  in Jamal Khan infront of Khastagir High School  in the city

Wednesday afternoon.

Eyewitnesses said a huge procession of the BNP from the Bahaddar Hat area of the city broke the wall murals  on the way to the rally through Chawkbazar-Jamalkhan. Earlier, the procession was actually clashed with the BCL activists in front of Chittagong College.

Although no one was injured, the two sides were seen giving a showdown with sticks.

Jamal Khan ward councilor Shaibal Das Sumon told  that they had a rally today. But on the way, they broke the wall murals  of such beautiful walls. They did not hold a meeting to obtain the support of the people. They are doing all these things explaining that this kind of situation will actually be in power. . I am drawing the attention of the administration. They should collect video footage and take action against those responsible for this.Meanwhile, four people have been arrested in connection with the vandalism of Bangabandhu ‘s wall picture ,  police officer of Kotwali  said.On Wednesday, the BNP organized a youth rally at Kazi Deori in the city. BNP Secretary General Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir was the chief guest.
