C T Online Desk: Awami League-backed candidate Talukder Abdul Khaleque has won the mayoral race in Khulna City Corporation elections for the third time.
As per the unofficial results, he became victorious by a huge margin in the elections.
Returning officer Humayun Kabir declared the results at 8:45pm on Monday (June 12).
As per the results, Talukder Abdul Khaleque got 15,4825 votes while nearest rival Md. Abdul Awal bagged 60,064 votes.
The voting began at 8:00am and continued till 4:00pm.
