C T Online Desk: A man died after being stabbed by a group of unidentified criminals early today in the Chattogram’s Pahartali area.
The deceased was identified as Md Azad, 30, son of Ladu Ibrahim of Natun Bazar area in Pahartali, reports our local correspondent quoting Pahartali Police Station Officer-in-Charge (OC) Mostafizur Rahman.
Azad and his brother used to look after a piece of land in the area, where they had an altercation with some locals yesterday evening, the OC said.
Azad used to stay near the property, and around 5:00am today, some people went there and stabbed his back and chest with a knife, leaving him critically injured, said the OC quoting family members and locals.
Sub-inspector (SI) Nurul Alam Ashek of Chattogram Medical College Hospital (CMCH) police outpost said, “He was rushed to the hospital around 5:20am where doctors declared him dead.”
“The body was kept in CMCH morgue for autopsy,” he added.
No case has been filed in this regard yet.
