C T Online Desk: Four members of a family were burnt in a fire at a house in East Shahidnagar area of Bayezid in Chattogram on Sunday.
The injured were identified as Nurunnahar, 40, wife of Md Manik, hailed from East Shahidnagar area in Bayezid, her son Md Maruf, 1, daughter Fariza Akter, 3, and Md Emon, 28, said sub-inspector Mrinal Mazumder of Bayezid police station.
The injured were undergoing treatment at Chattogram Medical College Hospital, he said.
Md Kamruzzaman, senior station officer of Bayezid fire station, said that the fire broke out from mosquito coils at about 4:35am at a tin-shed house.
‘A firefighting vehicle rushed to the spot and doused the fire at about 5:20am,’ he said.
Four people sustained burn injuries and six the tin-shed houses was burnt in the fire, he said.
