C T Online Desk: Movement of water vessels between Saint Martin and Teknaf has started after a hiatus due to cyclone Mocha.
A trawler loaded with goods BGB left Teknaf for Saint Martin at 10:30am on Monday. Speedboat movement has also begun on this route.
Abdur Rashid, President of St Martin Service Trawler Owners’ Association, said movement of all water vessels via the route was suspended from Friday due to the cyclone.
A trawler of BGB loaded with goods sailed from Tefnaf to Saint Martin’s Monday morning. All vessels including trawlers, speedboats were taken to safety in Tefnaf during the inclement weather.
Mujibur Rahman, chairman of Saint Martin Union Parishad, also confirmed resumption of water services connecting the island from this morning.
