C T Online Desk: Chattogram Medical College (CMC) Hospital has started the health tests of Haj pilgrims of Chittagong district. On Sunday (May 7) morning, Hajj pilgrims thronged the conference room on the second floor of the main building of the hospital.
CMC Hospital Assistant Director Dr. Shahida Akhtar said that until Saturday (May 6) about 8500 names of Haj pilgrims have been listed in the hospital for health examination. It will be possible to check the health of 500 to 600 passengers daily. According to hospital sources, health check-ups will be conducted from 8:30 am to 2:30 pm every day except Fridays and public holidays. Also Haj pilgrims (where applicable) will be given meningitis and influenza vaccines.
CMC Hospital Deputy Director Dr. Angsui Pru Marma said that the Hajj agencies who have already submitted the list of 2023 Hajj passengers to the hospital office, must collect the prescribed sample form from the hospital office for their health examination and fill in two copies of the form for each passenger and submit it to the hospital office.
Owners or representatives of concerned agencies are requested to know the health examination schedule (day, date and time) from the hospital notice board by submitting the filled form. On the day of health check-up, Hajj pilgrims should bring the test report of Urine, Random Blood Sugar (RBS), X-ray (Chest P/A View), ECG, Serum Creatinine, Complete Blood Count (CBC with CSR), Blood Grouping , said the authorities.
