C T Online Desk: Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina distributed Eid gift checks among the members of Chittagong Union of Journalists (CUJ).
These checks were handed over to 230 members of CUJ in a ceremony organized at Bangabandhu Hall of Chittagong Press Club on Wednesday (April 19) morning.
AJM Nashir Uddin, former Mayor of Chittagong City Corporation and General Secretary of Chittagong Metropolitan Awami League, was the chief guest in the program presided over by Cuj President Tapan Chakraborty.
CUJ General Secretary Mr. Ali Abbas, former president of Chittagong Press Club and Shahid ul Alam, vice president of Bangladesh Federal Union of Journalists spoke at the check distribution ceremony under the direction of Shamsul Islam.
Former Presidents of CIU M Nasirul Haque and Mohammad Ali, Former General Secretary Nirmal Chandra Das, Senior Vice President of Chittagong Press Club Chowdhury Farid, Senior Vice President of CIU Mohammad Rubel Khan, Vice President Anindya Tito, Joint Editor were present on the occasion. Saidul Islam, finance secretary. Mujahidul Islam, Publicity and Publication Secretary Sarwar Kamal, Executive Member Alauddin Hossain Dulal, Daily East Unit Head Mihraj Uddin Raihan, East Unit Head Jivak Barua and Representative Unit Acting Head Sohail Sarwar.
