HSC results today

C T Online Desk: The results of Higher Secondary Certificate (HSC) and its equivalent examinations for 2021 under 11 education boards across the country will be published today.

The results will be announced at the International Mother Language Institute at Segunbagicha in the capital through a press conference.  Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina will attend the programme virtually from her official residence Ganabhaban at 10:00am.

Later, the Education Minister Dr Dipu Moni will brief reporters about details of the results at around 11:30am, said the ministry’s Public Relations Officer M Abul Khair.

Last year’s HSC and equivalent exams were held on fewer subjects following a shortened syllabus. The exams were held eight months later than the usual schedule due to coronavirus pandemic.

The examinees took tests only in three optional subjects. They did not have to sit for tests in compulsory subjects like Bangla and English. The exams carried fewer marks.

About 14 lakh students participated in the exams under the 11 education boards across the country.
