C T Online Desk: Chattogram City Mayor Bir Muktijoddha Rezaul Karim Chowdhury has inaugurated two projects worth Tk 17.7 million for road development and drain construction in the port city of Chittagong’s Rampur Ward.On Monday, the Mayor inaugurated the development of the road from Halishahar AC Mosque to Wapda intersection in No. 25 Rampur Ward at a cost of Tk 7.8 million and Eidgaon intersection to Nayabazar intersection at a cost of Tk. 9.90 crore taka.
The Mayor said that although the infrastructure of Rampur area is relatively developed, this initiative has been taken after learning that there is a need for several road reforms. If these two projects are implemented, the communication system of the local people will be improved on the one hand and on the other hand, waterlogging will be reduced due to good drainage system.
Panel Mayor Abdus Sabur Liton, reserved female councilor Hurey Ara Beauty, Chief Engineer Rafiqul Islam, Supervising Engineer Biplab Das, Executive Engineer Anwar Jahan, Assistant Engineer Gazi Mohammad Kamrul Hasan were also present.
