C T Online Desk: A big whale corpse washed ashore on Himchhari beach adjacent to Cox’s Bazar-Teknaf marine drive on Tuesday noon.
On information, officials of the Upazila administration, forest department, department of environment, livestock and fisheries department and police rushed to the spot.
Masum Billah, Magistrate of Cox’s Bazar Tourist Cell told reporters that as the dead whale may spread stench, so they decided to bury it quickly.
Earlier, in April 2021, two dead whales washed ashore in the same area of Cox’s Bazar.
