C T Online Desk: The President of The Chattogram Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Mahbubul Alam, has called upon the concerned authorities including the police administration to take effective measures to control the law and order situation in the Chittagong metropolis and strengthen the overall security system on the occasion of the upcoming Eid-ul-Fitr.

In a statement on Monday (April 17), he said, like in the past few years, law and order forces have played a commendable role in shopping malls, markets and busy areas of the city during Ramadan. The people of the city observed the holy month of Ramadan in a safe environment. On the occasion of Eid, the security system needs to be strengthened to face any untoward situation so that the homebound people can reach their destination without any hassle.
