C T Online Desk: Chattogram City Corporation Mayor Rezaul Karim Chowdhury has urged the city residents to promote the country’s textile, jamdani and cottage industry by buying local products on social festivals including Eid.
He made this call as the chief guest at the opening ceremony of the 7th Eid Textile, Jamdani and Small Industries Fair organized by Bangladesh Jamdani Manufacturers and Exporters Association on Monday in the city’s GEC Convention Hall.
The chief coordinator of the fair management committee. General Secretary of Chittagong Press Club Devdulal Bhowmik and Executive Director of GEC Convention Center ARM Shamim Uddin were special guests in the inauguration ceremony presided over by Zahir Alam.
Open to all, this Eid Textile, Jamdani and Small Art Fair will continue till the night before Eid.
