No moon sighted in Bangladesh sky, Ramadan begins Friday

C T Online Desk: No Ramadan moon was sighted in the sky of Bangladesh on Wednesday. As a result, the Ramadan in the country will begin on Friday.

The first Traweeh prayer will start on Thursday, and Sheri will have to be complete at wee hours of Friday.

At a meeting held at the Islamic Foundation’s Baitul Mukarram office, the National Moon Sighting Committee took the decision. State Minister for Religious Affairs Faridul Haque Khan presided over the meeting, said a release of the ministry concerned today.
