C T Online Desk: Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina will declare digitally the two upazilas Raujan and Boalkhali landless and homeless free upazilas on March 22 based on updated data.
Deputy Commissioner Abul Basar Mohammad Fakhruzzaman presented this information in a press conference at Chittagong Circuit House on Monday (March 20) morning.
He said that 1 thousand 52 landless and homeless (remaining of 3rd stage and 4th stage) families in Chittagong district will be handed over land and house ownership by the Hon’ble Prime Minister. This precedent of providing land and house to all the landless and homeless families of the country by government initiative is unique in the world.
Following the success of the 1st, 2nd and 3rd stages, the Honorable Prime Minister will inaugurate the program of allocating houses with 2 decimal land to 39 thousand 365 landless and homeless families across the country on March 22 in the 4th stage. A total of 1 thousand 52 landless and homeless families including remaining 159 of 3rd stage and 893 of 4th stage in Chittagong district will be provided fully government funded houses with 2 decimal land.
