C T Online Desk: To speed up VAT collection, 10 VAT booths and five VAT stands have been set up under Chittagong Customs Excise and VAT Commissionerate.A VAT booth and stand was inaugurated at Kazir Dewri Stadium Market in the city on Wednesday at the initiative of Kotwali Circle.
Deputy Commissioner of VAT Commissionerate Fatema Khairun Noor, Revenue Officer Abul Khair and other officials were present on the occasion.
The places where VAT booths and stands will be set up are: Outer Stadium ground at Kazir Dewri in the city, entrance of CEPZ, Singapore Bangkok Market premises at Agrabad, open field in front of GEC Convention Center and Kalatali junction in Cox’s Bazar.
Besides, New Market, Zahur Hawkers Market, Golam Rasul Market, Teri Bazar, Riaz Uddin Bazar, Sanmar Ocean City and Chittagong Shopping Complex. Four booths were also set up at Amirabad, Barabazar and Lohagara in Cox’s Bazar.
