None will be spared for cutting hills: DC

C T Online Desk: Chittagong Deputy Commissioner and District Magistrate Abul Basar Mohammad Fakhruzzaman said that no concession will be given to those who cut hills, occupy government property or top soil of agricultural land.
He said,  one class of circles cutting the topsoil of the agricultural land and taking it to brick kilns and other places besides disrupting the cultivation, the lands are becoming uncultivable.
From now on, action will be taken immediately upon receiving the news of cutting top soil of agricultural land. Also no one involved in hill cutting and occupying government property will be exempted. Calling on the local UP chairman and public representatives to be careful about cutting the topsoil of the agricultural land, the Deputy Commissioner said,
According to the decision of the government, no construction can be done on the agricultural land. He said these things in the president’s speech at the district law and order committee meeting held in the conference room of Chittagong district administrator’s office on Tuesday morning.
He said that the administration has zero tolerance against drugs, terrorism, militancy and criminals. The activities of the district administration to rescue the government lands and hills from the illegal encroachers are continuing.
Action will be taken against those who illegally extract sand, occupy government roads and build business establishments. Additional District Magistrate (ADM) Rakib Hasan presented crime figures of last month through multimedia in the meeting.
