C T Online Desk: Norwegian striker Alexander Sorloth was presented a large fish after being named Real Sociedad’s player of the month for January.
With three goals in seven games, the 27-year old was also named LaLiga’s best player last month, as La Real find themselves third after winning five games in January, losing only to Barcelona and drawing against Real Madrid.
To celebrate the player of the month award of the on-loan forward from RB Leipzig, the club arranged a trip to a supermarket in San Sebastian, where the former Crystal Palace player was gifted the aquatic animal.
Sorloth follows in the footsteps of former Sociedad midfielder and international teammate Martin Odegaard, who was also presented a fish in 2019 after a similar prolific start to life in the Basque region.
