C T Online Desk: Jan 17, 2023- Newly appointed Ambassador of Japan to Bangladesh IWAMA Kiminori said Japan has worked as development partner of Bangladesh in 50 years of diplomatic relations and Tokyo will continue to do so in the days to come.
“Japan is working on the expansion of Matarbari deep sea port and Cox’s Bazar-Chittagong road in order to increase connectivity,” said the Japanese envoy.
The ambassador also expressed determination to continue keeping efforts for the growth of trade and investment in Bangladesh by making the trade and investment environment more easier on the basis of the partnership between the two countries.
The Ambassador of Japan said these while exchanging views with the Board of Directors of the Chattogram Chamber of Commerce and Industry (CCCI) at the World Trade Centre here today.
CCCI President Mahbubul Alam presided over the function while its Senior Vice-President Ruhul Amin Tarafdar, Vice-President Syed Mohammad Tanveer, Directors – AKM Akhtar Hossain, Md Ohid Siraj Chowdhury (Swapan), Zahirul Islam Chowdhury (Alamgir), Anjan Shekhar Das, Md Rakibur Rahman (Tutul), Nazmul Karim Chowdhury Sharun, Shahzada Md Fauzul Alef Khan, Md Iftekhar Faisal, SM Tahsin Junaid and Tanvir Mostafa Chowdhury and officials of the embassy were present at the function.
