C T Online Desk: COX’S BAZAR, Jan 12, 2023- Health Minister Zahid Maleque today said Cox’s Bazar district hospital will be turned into 500-bed hospital to increase healthcare facilities for the people.
“We have decided to increase bed capacity of 250-bed Cox’s Bazar hospital as a large number of people from home and abroad are taking healthcare services from the hospital,” he told a function at the Cox’s Bazar Hospital, an official release said.
The health minister said, “A significant number of people from home and abroad visit Cox’s Bazar every year and nearly 12 lakh Rohingya people are living in the district.”
So, it is urgent to increase healthcare facilities of Cox’s Bazar Hospital alongside providing quality medical services, he added.
