C T Online Desk: On Sunday (December 26), the Mayor of Chittagong City Corporation Rezaul Karim Chowdhury inaugurated the road maintenance work with a new maintenance truck at the intersection of roads in CRB.The important roads of the city are almost destroyed. When concrete, bitumen rises, cracks or large holes are formed. Chittagong City Corporation (CHC),
the organization responsible for road maintenance, carried out these renovations with mixers (mix of bricks, concrete, bitumen) made at its own asphalt plant. Which is patchwork in their language. In order to do this, various processes have to be done. Because first you have to make the mixer in the factory. Later the damaged road has to be brought by mixing truck.At the end of the day, the renovation work was done by the workers. Rollers are also needed for finishing. All in all there is a long delay. It also requires extra manpower. But from now on, CCC will fill the hole created in the road with the mixer made immediately. In other words, the repair work will continue by making the mixer where the road is damaged. And that will be done with the modern ‘pot hole patcher’. Which is best known as ‘Road Maintenance Truck’. The company has procured four state-of-the-art road maintenance trucks at a cost of Tk 12 crore 10 lakh.
