C T Online Desk: Like the rest of the country, the fourth dose of corona vaccine has started in Chittagong.On Tuesday (December 20), civil surgeon Dr. Elias Chowdhury said that this program will continue in the health complex of 15 upazilas of Chittagong and the permanent vaccination centers of the city. He told the media that preparations have been made to give the fourth dose of Corona in upazila health complexes. No targets have been set. A fourth dose will be given to persons who have passed 4 months after receiving the third dose. Pfizer vaccine will be administered in the fourth dose. However, it has been decided to vaccinate against sinobac where Pfizer will not be present.
He also said that apart from the upazila, this program will be conducted in the city’s permanent vaccination centers including General Hospital, CMC Hospital and City Corporation General Hospital. Chittagong General Hospital supervisor Dr. Sheikh Fazle Rabbi said, usually our vaccination program is going on every day in the hospital.
Since the fourth dose is starting, we have scheduled a room. We will vaccinate anyone. But four months must elapse after taking the third dose. Incidentally, Corona Booster Dose program started in Chittagong from December 28 last year.
