BNP leaders, activists clash with police in Nayapaltan

C T Online Desk: Bangladesh Nationalist Party (BNP) has locked in a clash with law enforcing agencies in Nayapaltan of the capital.

Opposition BNP men gathered in front of party headquarter ahead of much-hyped grand rally scheduled for December 10.

A bickering has arisen out of the venue of the BNP’s upcoming rally as the government fixed Suhrawardy Udyan which is disliked by the party.

Rather, opposition BNP is adamant to hold the rally in Nayapaltan, a place marked by vehicle and public movement.

Police deployed APC, prison van and additional force to tackle any untoward situation.

The clash between cops and BNP men experienced lobbying tear gas shells, committing arson and throwing picketing.

A group of leaders and activists have taken shelter inside party office.
