C T Online Desk: Chittagong City Corporation Mayor Md. Rezaul Karim Chowdhury said that man has conquered nature, besides destroying the balance of nature, man has created crisis. There is no substitute for public awareness to overcome this crisis. The government has given importance to ensuring sustainable forest management and forest conservation through people’s participation.
Chittagong City Corporation organized this festival of green revolution with the hope of building a beautiful Chittagong to breathe clean with care for green. He also said that if we can make boys and girls aware about greening in schools and colleges, then we will be able to make Chittagong a greening city.
He said this while speaking as the chief guest at a function organized by Chittagong Chittagong City Corporation and Tilottama Chittagong through a red carpet photo shoot at Chittagong Radisson Blu-Bay View Host Hall on Friday afternoon.
Tilottama Chittagong founder Sahela Abedin presided over the event as special guests were Chittagong Zilla Parishad Chairman ATM Payrul Islam, CCC Chief Executive Mohammad Shahidul Alam, CCC Panel Mayor Mohammad Ghiyas Uddin, Architect Shahinul Islam Khan, Tilottma Advisor Architect Ashiq Imran, SM Abu Taiyab, Deputy Assistant Agriculture Officer Subhash Chandra Dutta and Air Bangla Chairman Abdul Qayyum Chowdhury.
