C T Online Desk: The Ayojon restaurant and Hotel Zaman in Muradpur of the city have been fined Tk 30,000 and Tk 10,000 respectively in the city for violating the hygiene rules and serving food in restaurants without seeing the vaccination certificates of the customers and selling food in an unhygienic environment.The drive was conducted by Chittagong City Corporation Executive Magistrate Marufa Begum Nelly on Wednesday (January 26).
In another operation, the owner of five businesses was fined Tk 4,500 for selling goods in polythene bags in violation of the ban on a campaign to build an eco-friendly city free of polythene.During the operation, officers and employees of the concerned department of CCC and members of Chittagong Metropolitan Police assisted the magistrate.
