C T Online Desk: Japanese Ambassador to Bangladesh Mr. Ito Naoki said that Japan has been by Bangladesh’s side for the past 50 years, still is, and will continue to be Bangladesh’s development partner in the future.
On completion of ongoing projects including Matarbari port, Chittagong-Cox’s Bazar highway, Dhaka-Chittagong power grid strengthening, Chittagong will become an industrial hub. Chittagong is one of the cities that continues to attract foreign direct investment (FDI) from Japan, which will play an important role in the further growth of Bangladesh’s economy.
He said this while speaking as the chief guest at the event organized on the occasion of 50 years of Japan-Bangladesh diplomatic friendship hosted by Radisson Blu Chittagong Bay View on Saturday afternoon.
Chairman of Chittagong AOTS Alumni Association (CAAS) President Engineer AUM Zobair was the special guest, BSRM Chairman Alihussain Akbar Ali, JETRO Country Representative UG Endo (Anand), JICA Country Representative Ichi Guchi Tamohide, AOTS Advisor Dr. AKM Moazzem Hossain.
