C T Online Desk: A hill management camp and check post has been inaugurated at the entrance of Jungle Salimpur of Sitakunda Upazila. Chittagong District Commissioner Mohammad Mominur Rahman inaugurated the camp and check post on Thursday (October 20) around 5:30 pm. Chittagong District Superintendent of Police SM Shafiullah was the special guest at this time.
Mohammad Mominur Rahman said, a hill management camp has been set up and a check post has been set up at this place to stop the illegal settlement by cutting hills in Salimpur forest, deforestation and illegal selling of soil. Full-time police, Ansar, RAB and BGB members will be on duty here under the leadership of a magistrate. So that no one can illegally settle on this government Khas Khatian hill category land and cause any damage to the environment. Superintendent of Police SM Shafiullah said that the activities of the law and order police department will be strengthened to prevent illegal encroachment of hill land in Salimpur forest. We are working towards this goal.
