C T Online Desk: Traffic congestion is caused due to the illegal construction of CNG stations and facilities in Moizzartek area of Karnaphuli upazila in south Chattogram.. The upazila administration demolished that illegal station and establishment. On Sunday (October 16) from morning to noon, the Upazila Assistant Commissioner (Land) removed these illegal structures built around Moizzartek area of Chittagong-Cox’s Bazar highway of Karnaphuli upazila.
Along with this, CNG autorickshaw and illegal shop owners have been fined. Karnaphuli Upazila Assistant Commissioner (Land) Piyush Kumar Chowdhury said, CNG taxis are scattered in Moizzartek area and create obstacles on the road. Different types of shops have been built illegally on the road around this station. Due to the parking of vehicles on the side of the highway, one lane of the four-lane road is active. As a result, hundreds of Chittagong-Cox’s Bazar-bound vehicles were stuck in the jam for a long time
