C T Online Desk: The World Bank is going to implement a project called Water and Sanitation to collect 300 tons of fecal sludge (toilet waste) from the houses of the city through Chittagong WASA and 30 tons under Chittagong City Corporation. The World Bank will implement this project under Chittagong ASA’s ‘Chittagong Water Supply Development and Sanitation Project Phase-II’.
The World Bank wants to involve Chittagong WASA along with City Corporation and CDA in the implementation of this project. Already, the World Bank has conducted a study on how to remove the waste from the safety tanks of the city’s houses.
They gave some suggestions to implement the results obtained. They asked to involve Chittagong City Corporation and CDA as well as WASA in the implementation of the project, said WASA Superintending Engineer and Sewerage Project Director Eng.. Ariful Islam.
