Tributes paid to Bangabhandu by CUJ leaders at Tungipara

C T Online Desk: The newly elected leaders of the Chittagong Union of Journalists (CUJ) executive committee paid their respects at the  grave  of Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman.

On Thursday (October 13) in the afternoon at Bangabandhu’s mazar  in Tungipara, Gopalganj, the newly elected president  Tapan Chakraborty and general secretary Mr Shamsul Islam  paid tribute.

Present at this time was the outgoing president of CUJ Mohammad Ali, the newly elected senior vice president of the executive committee Mohammad Rubel Khan, finance secretary Mujahidul Islam, organizational secretary Md. Muharram Hossain, Publicity and Publication Secretary Sarwar Kamal and Executive Member Alauddin Hossain Dulal.

The newly elected president ofCUJ , Tapan Chakraborty, highlighted the history of Bangabandhu’s struggle for the rights of the Bengali nation and said that Bangabandhu struggled for the exploited all his life. We will follow the ideals of Bangabandhu and work for the rights of journalists.

The former president of CUJ  Muhammad Ali said that under the leadership of the newly elected strong leaders of CIU, journalists will struggle for their rights.

After paying tribute to  Bangabandhu  CUJ leaders prayed for  salvation of the  departed  soul  Bangabandhu and his family members so assasinated in 1975 . .
