Tapan, Shamsu elected President, Secretary of CUJ

C T Online Desk: Tapan Chakraborty, Deputy Editor of banglanews24.com, has been elected as the President of the Chattogram Union of Journalists (CUJ) on Monday. 

Desh Rupantor senior reporter   M Shamsul Islam was again elected as a secretary general of CUJ. Tapan Chakraborty bagged 162 votes while his rival candidate Mostak Ahmed got 105 votes. M Shamsul Islam secured 192 votes while Sabur Shuvo got 122 votes for the general secretary post.

Rubel Khan was elected senior vice present who secured 238 votes while Rezwanul Haque Raza elected as a vice president got 196 votes. Saidul Islam secured 174 votes for the joint secretary post while Mujahidul Islam elected as a finance secretary who bagged 174 votes. Mohorom Hossain secured 131 votes while Subol Barua got 129 votes for the organizing secretary post. Sarwar Kamal bagged 229 votes while Mizan Yousuf got 129 votes for publicity and publication secretary post. On the other hand, Alauddin Hossain Dulal was elected as an executive member getting 203 votes while his rival candidate Bisu Ray got 151 votes.
