C T Online Desk: Dhaka Chamber of Commerce and Industry (DCCI) President Rizwan Rahman called for the formulation of ‘National Logistics Policy’ for the efficient management of Chittagong Port and completion of the Dhaka-Chittagong Economic Corridor.
He made this call in a seminar titled ‘Efficient management in port logistics sector: Bangladesh’s capacity in business and trade’. He said, in checking the capacity of any country in international trade, the issue of efficiency in port logistics management is considered important.
By increasing the capacity of Chittagong port, it is possible to significantly reduce the operational cost of trade and investment activities in the country. Besides, he proposed implementation of Bay-terminal and Patenga terminal, capital dredging and increasing capacity of jetty through master plan.
