C T Online Desk: Information and Broadcasting Minister Hasan Mahmud said that those who are conspiring against Bangladesh at home and abroad are talking about the role of RAB. However, RAB has played a commendable role in controlling drug-terrorism and militancy in Bangladesh.The information minister made the remarks while addressing a workshop for new lawyers at the Chittagong District Bar Association auditorium on Saturday (January 22).He said that those who are talking about the role of RAB today, they really want a sanctuary of terrorism and militancy here.Begum Khaleda Zia established RAB in 2004. Hasan Mahmud said, then these issues did not come up. Why is it coming suddenly now, there must be some reason behind it. If any RAB member makes a mistake, they have been and will be tried.
He said that when a country is moving forward, various international powers want to pull that country’s legs. He then brought up issues including human rights to bring that country to its feet.
