C T Online Desk: Matarbari Deep sea port is being connected to the national road network. For this purpose, the government has started the work of land acquisition for the construction of the road. In the first part of this proposed road, the process of acquiring 243 acres of land from Chakriar Phansiakhali to Badarkhali Bridge on Chittagong-coxsbazar main road has started.
The road will be built on this land. A notice has been issued to the land owners on August 29 under Section 4 of the Immovable Property Acquisition and Possession Act, 2017 for the acquisition of 243 acres of land.Additional Deputy Commissioner (Revenue) Md. Amin Al Parvez said that the notice signed by the land acquisition officer Rabeya Asfar Saima on behalf of the Deputy Commissioner, Coxsbazar has already been given by the government stating the decision to acquire the land, a sources of district authority added.
