Transit consignments  carried to Ctg port  from Kolkata

C T Online Desk: Another experimental (trial run) shipment is coming from Kolkata’s Shyamaprasad Mukherjee port to Chittagong port under Bangladesh’s transit agreement with India. On Sunday (September 4) at 6 o’clock in the morning, the vessel named MV Trans Samudera left with a container of goods in transit (rod).

The ship is scheduled to reach Chittagong port on Tuesday (September 6). Habibur Rahman, manager of Mango Line Limited, confirmed this. This shipment is coming under the ‘Agreement on the Use of Chittagong and Mongla Port for Movement of Goods to and from India’ signed between Bangladesh and India in 2018. which will be taken to Assam via road Shayola (Sylhet)-Sutarkandi (India) land port.
