The demand of the residents of the two upazilas for the construction of a bridge over the Chankhali canal, which divides the border between Chandanish and Anwara upazilas, has been for a long time. Finally, at the end of the long wait, the 118 meter long and 10.30 meter wide modern PC girder bridge is now visible on the Chankhali Canal, one of the communication channels of these two upazilas, at a cost of around 24.5 million taka.
Meanwhile, the work of the entire bridge including 770 meters connecting road and cupping at both ends of the bridge has been completed. In 2019, the Dohazari Roads and Public Roads Department started the construction of the PC Girder Bridge at that place.
