C T Online Desk: Naval policemen have seized 4 thousand 500 meters of yarn net by raiding Halda river. Later the nets were burnt and destroyed. These nets were seized from the mouth of Halda river east of Kalurghat Bridge under the leadership of Naval Police Superintendent of Police, Additional Superintendent of Police, Assistant Superintendent of Police and officers of Sadarghat Naval Police Station from Tuesday (August 23) morning to noon.
Officer-in-Charge (OC) of Sadarghat Naval Police ABM Mizanur Rahman said that 4,500 meters of thread nets were recovered from the estuary of Halda river and destroyed by fire according to the prevailing rules.
