C T Online Desk: Six people died in a fire that broke out at a plastic factory in Dhaka’s Chawkbazar area on Monday.
Four of the deceased have been identified as Osman,25, Billal, 35, Shopon, 22 and Sharif, 20. Two more are yet to be identified.
All six were workers at a hotel located right below the factory.
Fire Service and Civil Defences Central unit Director Zillu Rahman confirmed the matter to Dhaka Tribune.
As many as 10 fire fighting units worked to bring the fire under control around 2:30pm.
Fire service says that the fire originated from the cylinder of a Barisal Hotel which is located on the bottom floor of the third storied building.

Fire Service warehouse Inspector Anowarul Islam said that three of the bodies are yet to be taken out.
Earlier around 12:30pm the fire broke out at the three-storied building in Chawkbazar’s Kamalpara.
Fire service is still conducting rescue operations.
