CCC evicts over 100 floating shops in city

C T Online Desk: At the initiative of Chittagong City Corporation, more than a hundred floating shops have been evicted from Kotwali junction of the city to Cinema Palace junction at the mouth of Court Hill on Monday.

Temporary shops are built by occupying sidewalks and roads. This is making it difficult for pedestrians to move. Earlier, the Chittagong City Corporation had carried out a drive to evict floating shops from the sidewalks in the area. After the eviction, the hawkers set up floating shops on the sidewalk again. So on Monday, CCC again launched a campaign to free the sidewalk.
