Ctg Customs  earn Tk 4,838 cr revenue   in last month

C T Online Desk: Chittagong Custom House started the financial year with satisfactory growth in revenue collection. In the recently departed month of July, against the target of Tk 4,482 crore, Tk 4,838,51 lakh revenue was collected. Which is Tk 356 crore 51 lakh more than the target. In July 2021, 3 thousand 394 crore 5 lakh taka was collected.

1 thousand 444 crore 46 lakh additional taka has been collected in July this year compared to the previous financial year. In this case, the growth rate is 42.56 percent. The revenue collection target of Chittagong Custom House in the fiscal year 2022-23 is 74 thousand 206 crores. Chittagong Custom House derives most of its revenue from goods imported through the main seaports of the country.

Custom House Joint Commissioner Salahuddin Rizvi said, despite the economic challenges including the impact of Ukraine war, inflation, Custom House Chittagong started the new financial year with a growth of 7.95 percent compared to the target and 42.56 percent compared to the previous year. The use of proper CPC, proper HS code and taxation of goods at value has resulted in a growth of 42.56 percent in revenue collection. This positive trend of revenue collection will continue in the coming days.
