C T Online Desk: 2 pairs of passenger local trains on the Chittagong-Dohazari route have been closed for more than a year. About 10,000 passengers in this region have suffered. Even a year ago, hundreds of people from this region used to travel safely to the city by morning train. It is known that train movement on this route has been stopped since April 5, 2021.
Chittagong-Dohazari railway line has 12 stations. The stations are Jhautla, Sholshahar, Jalalihat, Gomdandi, Bengura, Dhalghat, Patiya, Chakrashala, Kharna, Kanchannagar, Khanhat and Hashimpur. From these stations at least 10 thousand passengers used to travel by rail to different areas including Chittagong. As 2 local trains are closed, these people are deprived of railway services.
