Light rain likely in Dhaka, other districts

C T Online Desk: Bangladesh Meteorological Department predicted dry weather in the next 24 hours commencing 9am on Friday, with light rain in some parts of the country.

“Weather may remain mainly dry with partly cloudy to cloudy skies elsewhere over the country,” said a Met Office bulletin.

It also predicted light rain or drizzling at one or two places over Dhaka, Khulna, Barisal, Chittagong and Sylhet divisions.

In the last few days, Dhaka and some parts of the country have experienced drizzling.

The latest bulletin says moderate to thick fog may occur at places over the river basins and adjoining areas, and light to moderate fog may occur elsewhere over the country from midnight to morning.

Night temperature may remain nearly unchanged and day temperature may fall by one to two Celsius over the country, the bulletin said.

The highest temperature on Thursday was recorded 31.3 degrees Celsius in Chittagong, while minimum temperature was 9 degrees Celsius in Tetulia of Panchagarh.
