Many people are being forced to feed less than the demand due to abnormal rise in prices of bran, soybean, cattle booster, wheat etc. Farmers are busy fattening the sacrificial animals as they are worried about getting the desired price in the market due to the increase in cost.
Nurul Huda, vice-president of Anwara Upazila Dairy Farmers Association, said, “Reviewing the price of cow feed in the last four years, it is seen that in 2019, the price of 50 kg sack of soybean khail was Tk 1,700, now it is more than Tk 3,400.” A sack of wheat bran weighing 35 kg in 2019 was 780 taka In 2019, 50 kg sack of rice polish was 700 taka, now it is 1600 taka.
