C T Online Desk: The suffering of the people living in the hills of Chittagong is coming to an end. They will be brought under the Ashrayan project and rehabilitated.
For this, the work of preparing a complete list of people living in the hills is starting this week. Which will be prepared and sent to the Prime Minister’s Office within the next one month. Then necessary steps will be taken as per the instructions of the department.
The decision was taken at the 24th meeting of the hill management committee, said the divisional commissioner. Ashraf Uddin. The meeting was held at the conference room of the Divisional Commissioner’s Office in Chittagong.
Deputy Commissioner Mohammad Mominur Rahman along with representatives of Railways, Chittagong WASA, Bidyut, Karnafuli Gas, City Corporation and other related service organizations spoke on the occasion. During the meeting, the Divisional Commissioner said that the Prime Minister is sincere and interested in the rehabilitation of the people living in the hills of 5 districts of Chittagong Division. Hopefully, this issue will be resolved.
