Lack of coordination hampers  of mega projects benefits  in Ctg: Speakers

C T Online Desk: The government has approved mega projects worth thousands of crores for the development of the port city of Chittagong. But the people of Chittagong are not getting the benefits of these mega projects due to the unplanned and uncoordinated work of the implementing government agencies. Rather, delays are being created in the implementation of the project. As the suffering of the people is increasing, so is the expenditure of the government.

This was stated by the speakers at the general meeting of Greater Chittagong Development Action  Committee on Sunday. The meeting was held at Chattaldardi Yusuf Chowdhury Conference Hall Room of Daily Purbakone Center.

The chief guest was Jasim Uddin Chowdhury, President of the Standing Council of Greater Chittagong Development Struggle Committee and Chairman of The Purbakone Limited.

At the meeting, Jasim Uddin Chowdhury said that although Chittagong was called the commercial capital, it was not developed as a commercial capital in the true sense. Many development works are going on in Chittagong. But they are not planned. That is why the benefits are not coming.

The Greater Chittagong Development Struggle Committee has to work on all these. Many developments have been achieved in Chittagong through the hands of this committee.
