C T Online Desk: Two thousand meters of illegal fishing nets worth Tk 90,000 were seized in a raid conducted in the shadow area of the river on Saturday.
Naval Police Chittagong Region Superintendent of Police Mohammad Mominul Islam Bhuiyan PPM and Sadarghat Police Station OC ABM Mohammad participatd the drive. The operation was conducted under the direction of Mizanur Rahman. The sub-inspector leading the operation. Enamul Haque said two thousand meters of illegal nets worth Tk 90,000 were seized during an operation with force in the shady char area of Halda river to increase fish stocks. The seized nets have been burnt on the spot.
