C T Online Desk: Fifteen members of the industrial police were injured when a bus hit them in the city. They were admitted to Chittagong Medical College Hospital.
The accident took place when a bus collided with a police van at Pahartali Sagarika Mor area around 9am on Saturday (May 21). The injured are: Shamim Hossain (22), Rimi (22), Jasim (23), Manik (24), Sajib (21), Salauddin (22), Saikat (22), Mahabul (26), Jasim (23), Jannat (22), Rumpa (21), Winpru (22), Masud (23) and 2 others.
Chittagong Industrial Police Assistant Superintendent of Police Selim Newaz told the media that a speeding bus hit a police van on its way to the end of the parade at North Kattli ground. The condition of 5 of the injured is critical. They are undergoing treatment at Chittagong Medical College Hospital.
