C T Online Desk: Chengguan Song, Senior Engineer, Vice President, CNTY, China, and Sunji, Director, LDC Group of Companies paid a courtesy call on Chittagong City Corporation Acting Mayor Gias Uddin at the Tiger Pass Mayor’s Office on Thursday.
During the meeting, they called for an on-the-spot inspection of the proposed project to generate electricity from the waste collected by Chittagong City Corporation. The Acting Mayor requested the delegation to provide a letter through the City Mayor, the Government and the Ministry of Power to inspect any of the projects implemented in the proposed 10 countries of the world.
Asked if there would be any environmental problems in generating electricity from waste, Chenguan Song said there would be no environmental problems in such power generation. The delegation leaders further said that the water that will be used for waste recycling will be reduced and dumped in the sewers and it will be used on the road by making bucks from the burnt.
